After almost 2 decades in paediatric and neonatal nursing and growing my own family (I have 3 children), I started my Doula journey with Nurturing Birth in 2015.
I have since resigned from nursing and completely focused my career on supporting pregnancy, birth and new families.
Just as much as I enjoy supporting women on their journeys into motherhood, I enjoy supporting people through all sorts of stages in their lives. During my nursing career I was also a mentor to student nurses and new staff members and I’m absolutely thrilled to be part of the Nurturing Birth mentoring team now.
Having experienced mentoring during my Doula journey was almost life changing. Doula mentoring is not a tick box exercise but to delve much deeper and to find out who you are and who your ideal clients are and how to support them and also yourself. It’s an ongoing journey and although I’m an experienced Doula, I still greatly benefit from the continuous support Nurturing Birth has to offer. I adore learning from every client, every family and every Doula I’m working with as it’s a never ceasing journey.
In a nutshell about me: I was born and raised in Germany and I moved to the UK on my own in 2002. My strengths are loyalty, honesty, the ability to listen and hold space. People around me call me big hearted and super organised (probably my German streak..).
