My journey into the birthing world began in 2010 with a stint spent as a Student Midwife. Fast forward to 2016 when I retrained as a Doula with Nurturing Birth and understood how much better the fit was for me. I’ve been enjoying supporting women and their partners throughout their pregnancies, birth and 4th Trimester, ever since.
Having undertaken mentoring throughout my time in Midwifery training and understood its importance, I was quick to enrol for the 15 month mentoring programme with Nurturing Birth and have continued to have occasional mentoring ever since. Having the space and the permission to share openly, without judgement about the challenges I faced throughout my journey in developing my business as a new Doula has proven invaluable. I can confidently say I am a better Doula because of the mentoring.
I offer Doulas my time, focus and a listening ear. My hope is that you feel free to share open-heartedly about what you want to achieve throughout your Doula career, how you plan to do that, what might hold you back and what support you might need in finding your own path to becoming the very best and wonderfully unique Doula you can be.
