I love this work with my whole heart. I first learnt about what a Doula was at the age of 17, laying on my sofa glued to my then new favourite discovery channel programmes “Home Births” and “Birth Stories”. I was in awe every time at the pure magic of pregnancy and birth. I was so sure that one day I wanted to have the honour of supporting the birth space ~
Some years later, In 2016 I entered into birth work through working with Dr Marie Gowri, Gentle Birth Method who taught me Creative Healing Massage & about birth support, I decided I wanted to get some specific Doula training even though I had already been attending births ~
I trained with Nurturing Birth in 2019 and have not looked back, not even slightly. Having the support of a mentor since completing my course has been so invaluable to me, it has and still is such a nourishing support that I feel is an integral part of me being the best doula I can be. So to round this up, the reason I wanted to become a mentor was simple, to give back, to provide others the safe space I’ve had held for me. As a mentor I promise to welcome just as you are, to hold safe heart led space, to listen and to empower you to go out into the arena of birth work believing in yourself as the gift that you are ~
Much Love,
