This week Sophie talks about preparing for a baby, not just the birth. What will it be like having a baby at home 24/7, how might it affect your relationship, what are your expectations around a baby’s needs for sleep/food/comfort?
Did you know that many doulas will offer sessions antenatally to help you prepare for a baby/babies arrival? Alternatively, an antenatal course might give you some thoughts and ideas for reflection. Or, there are some fabulous books on the market – we particularly love Naomi Kemeny’s Nurturing New Families (well it does have Nurturing in the title!)
Watch this space for some online courses coming from Nurturing Birth to help new parents negotiate their way through some of the parenting obstacles!
