An interactive workshop created for doulas and birth workers looking at supporting both clients and themselves through all birth journeys including baby loss.
Although centred on loss, the values and tools you will discover will impact every area of your life as a doula and will make you more aware of how often some sort of loss is part of your client’s story.
During the day we will consider:
- Caring for ourselves
- Valuing every birth including loss
- Learning from those who have experienced loss or supported loss
The cost for the day including lunch and refreshments is £65 per person to be paid in full at booking via Paypal. The day runs from 9.30am to 4pm. To book simply complete the form below and follow the Paypal instructions.

“I can hand on heart say that I have never been on a study day that has touched me in the same way that your study day did today. The way you did the day and the material you chose to give us was so honest and meaningful. It has had a real impact on me. Just wanted to say an amazing day with an amazing facilitator.”
“I initially had mixed emotions about attending this workshop. But my worries were totally unfounded, as it was a beautifully enriching and informative day that was perfectly facilitated by Michelle, who has the most amazing kindness and warmth. She makes it very easy to share, ask questions and reflect upon personal experiences and those of others, in the safety of the beautiful ‘bubble’ that is created on the day”
“Michelle Every has a real gift to educate about the tender subject of baby loss in an inspiring and enlightening way. The one day workshop felt like a launch pad into a new way of looking at life and death and the grieving process. I fully recommend it to all doulas and those working with birthing families.”
“This workshop brings to the fore the vulnerability of the doula, puts us side by side with the woman who has suffered a gestational loss so that we can together help her to trace her own way through the pain, hoping that in the end so she can write her story and can revisit it without getting stuck inside.”
“Before the workshop I was apprehensive about my doula role in supporting parents who experience the death of their baby, but having spent a day with Michelle and other doulas exploring bereavement in more depth, I feel less anxious and more confident that I can be enough, that by being there I can bring something positive. I feel better equipped to face such a situation, and knowing where to look for support to signpost clients to…..but equally important, I feel clearer about how to take care of me too. Thank you Michelle.”
